SILGO adjuvants for control of insects

All SILGO® Adjuvants must not be applied during flowering as this may cause damage to the petals and more importantly will have a negative impact on pollinators.

Insects can cause significant negative impacts on humans and the environment. Negative impacts from insects are a significant threat to agriculture.

Adjuvants for Control of Insects: Harmful insect pests include caterpillars, grasshoppers, and locusts, which eat the leaves, seeds and fruits of crops.

SILGO® ADJUVANTS are not chemical insecticides. They a physical control insecticide. This means when the SILGO® Adjuvant is sprayed on the crop which is attacked by harmful insects the SILGO® ADJUVANT encases the insect which causes suffocation.

The advantage is that insects do not develop resistance to SILGO® adjuvants. The only disadvantage is that SILGO® adjuvant must be applied at time of pest insect infestation.

However, if applied with an insecticide then the control is then both physical and chemical

SILGO® adjuvant are used to enhance the performance of Plant Protection Product , foliar fertilizers and nutrients.
SILGO® adjuvant do not exert any chemical control they are strictly improvers & spreaders of applied Plant protection Products, foliar nutrients and fertilizers.

However, SILGO® adjuvant may be used as physical insecticides. The process is that the pest insect at time of application is encapsulated and suffocates. This is an advantage for those that are reluctant to use chemical insecticides but need to remove pest insects from field crops, vegetables, ornamentals orchards and soft fruit.

The advantage is that pest insects will not develop immunity/resistance to SILGO® adjuvants.
The disadvantage is that control will only take place when the SILGO® adjuvant is applied.
