SILGO adjuvants for control of insects
All SILGO® Adjuvants must not be applied during flowering as this may cause damage to the petals and more importantly will have a negative impact on pollinators.
Insects can cause significant negative impacts on humans and the environment. Negative impacts from insects are a significant threat to agriculture.
Harmful insect pests include caterpillars, grasshoppers, and locusts, which eat the leaves, seeds and fruits of crops.
SILGO ADJUVANTS are not chemical insecticides. They a physical control insecticide. This means when the SILGO Adjuvant is sprayed on the crop which is attacked by harmful insects the SILGO ADJUVANT encases the insect which causes suffocation.
The advantage is that insects do not develop resistance to SILGO adjuvants. The only disadvantage is that SILGO adjuvant must be applied at time of pest insect infestation.
However, if applied with an insecticide then the control is then both physical and chemical
